Seasonings and Sprouts

 

Rhona's Curry Powder

  • Mix well in a small bowl
  • 3 tablespoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons coriander
  • 1 teaspoon tumeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon fenugreek
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom

Mock Chicken Seasoning

  • Mix well in a small bowl
  • 1 cup nutritional yeast flakes
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 3 tablespoons parsley flakes, powdered in coffee grinder or rubbed to powder between palms of hands
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon savory

Store in an airtight jar.

Chili Seasoning

Blend in a small coffee grinder or blender until powdered

  • 6 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons basil
  • 1/3 cup parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon oregano

Transfer to a small mixing bowl and add

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 5 tablespoons cumin

Mix well. Store in an airtight container.

Seasoned Breading Meal

  • Combine in a small mixing bowl
  • 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup corn flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes

Store in an airtight container.

Cinamamon Substitute

  • Mix well
  • 1 part cardamom
  • 3 parts coriander
